Ralph's Tonight!

Today is our last day in New Orleans and we are making it a very Nola Day! :) First we are headed to the Saints vs. Tampa Bay game where we have amazing seats! Can't wait to post pictures! Here's hoping for a big win (knocks on wood)!

Then tonight we are headed to Ralph's which looks fabulous! It's owned by the same people that have Brennan's which is a New Orleans tourist favorite!

Check out the feast we will be having tonight! I am looking forward to the City Park Salad (minus the bacon) and the cauliflower soup (yum! yum!).

Tomorrow we are on our way to the Carolina mountain house to celebrate New Years! Lots more fun to come! :)

Merry Christmas Everyone!

This Christmas I am in New Orleans with my love, Dave, and his family. This is my favorite Christmas song because I find it really moving and completely enjoy blasting it out in my car during the holidays. I'm not sure why, but I just love it's warmth and holiday feeling it gives me. So, for Christmas this year, I hope you're with your love. :)

Crafty Friends!

I just recently had a girl's get together last week with some of my fab and fun charlotte girlfriends! They never cease to amaze me with their craftiness and funny stories! We love to eat and drinks lots of wine (more for some than others)! Ashley made some fun holiday wine glasses for us while Debbie made some yummy Moca Mix! Then I put my delish peanut butter cookies in baggies for each of the girls to take home. Here are pics of the crafts, the awesome food, the girls and my peanut butter cookie recipe that is easier than all the recipes I have, combined!
Peanut Butter cookies and recipe!

1 cup peanut butter
1 large egg

1/4 cup of sugar on a plate for rolling

Friend's New Business!

Our friend, Laura Gainor, started her own Photography company called Blue Wheel Photography. She and a friend of hers, Brent, started the company together just recently and I feel like they are already off to a stellar start! Be sure to check out her website, especially if you are looking for a great north carolina photographer!

Christmas Gift Idea!

Did you know Gayle King is the Editor at Large for O Mag? I didn't... but not surprising! Can I get a famous best friend please? Elly? Luc? GET ON IT!

Anyway, she was on GMA with gifts for under $30! NOT BAD. I had seen a segment on the Today show with the same concept for under $20 dollars the day before and the gifts were aweful - these, not so much!

Footzyrolls: https://www.footzyrolls.com/index.html
$22 if you use the code: OPRAH

Great concept, wish I'd thought of it! :)

I'm sold

So Dave has converted me to a Saints fan. And he's done a really good job at it. I've gotten to hang with QB Drew Brees and his wife, Brittany. We got suite tickets to see the Saints play the Panthers in NOLA in November. And Dave got me a jersey and a hat while we were there. So, I think I am all set! And this was the icing on the top! Check out QB Drew Brees on Leno last week. He is so down to earth, CUTE and likable!!

ABC Wednesday Nights

Dave and I LOVE ABC Wednesday Night TV. There are 3 sitcoms, all in a row, that are hilarious! Our favorite at 8:30 is THE MIDDLE. This show has us in stitches! And our favorite character is the youngest of the family, Brick, who repeats himself in whispered tones. The whole show is hysterical. This poor family just can't get it right. The parents are awesome, and of course Patricia from Everybody Loves Raymond, is an awesome mom character. Our second favorite show comes on at 9:00 - MODERN FAMILY. My two favorite characters from this show are the gay dad's with their adopted baby, Lily. The bigger one of the two is SO funny. I watch the show just to see them! Love it.ANd then at 9:30 is Cougar Town with Courtney Cox. She is such a comedian! I'm not sure how long this show will really last but Courtney and her neighbor/best friend make it funny!

HGTV Celebrity Holiday Decor

So for the holidays, HGTV has a show where 3 designers decorate 3 celebrity homes. It comes on on Sunday nights at 8pm. I adored this show because I not only love Christmas decor but I love checking out other people's homes! lol Celebrity or not! I hope this is replayed and that if you missed it, you'll get to see it. The celebrities for this episode were Jewel (who wore the cutest stinkin headband I ever did see!), Kathy Lee (who got a fabulously fruity designer) and Holly Peete (yes, Hangin with Mr. Cooper star and wife to ex-NFL star). For Holly's house in CA, the designer went with a Cabo sea theme because that was her family's favorite vacation spot. She has 4 children - whoa! For Kathy's CT home, they decorated her hideously all plad (yes floor to sealing) comfy (with green velvet sofas) masculine living room. I just loved the designer though. And the outside of Kathy's house was absolutely stunning. Her designer took the colors in her plad (everything) and decorated with navy blue, gold, and hunter green. He also took old men's shirts, about 5, and made christmas balls out of them - super cute idea and very easy to do! And he made a candy buffet table that I really liked because it incorporated all the colors he used. And lastly, for Jewel's home, they went with a rustic ranch feel. I don't know why but I just loved the earthy-ness of it. It turned out really pretty and she was very involved with her designer.

Ice Soy Chai Latte

This latte is as Dave says, "A little Taste of Christmas" Iced or hot, it is very yummy. I get it all year round. It's the only drink I will get at Starbucks and treat myself to! If you are hesitant about soy milk, don't be! You totally won't notice the difference and with the chai, I wouldn't have it any other way! :)

GoodSearch

Have you all heard about GoodSearch? You go there, just like Google to search things on the internet only you select a charity before searching. Everytime you search on the net using this site, you raise money for the charity! And I know that this works because I get checks for the foundation from this organization at work! Every little bit helps and this doesn't come from your bank account... just a simple click of the mouse!!

Hello Banana Republic!

So I was in class last night and this girl was telling me how her mom took her Christmas shopping last weekend at Banana. She told me about this cute cow-neck scarf thing she got and so when I got home I hit up their website.

And what did I find? ONLY that they have the BEST WINTER CLOTHES EVER!!!!

My new obsession.... I love the skinny cords in this picture along with the chic boots and the long sweater. This is their "urban sophisticated look". OMG. And look at the cute knit hat she is wearing! It screams ADORABLE. Not to mention, the prices are marked down, banana, is that you??? lol Can we please talk about this sweater dress! I love the flowy sweater over top too. And can someone please send me that dog??!
They even have cute winter gloves that I am in desperate need of! Love the plum!

Hello new going-out dress --- REDUCED PRICE!

Is anyone salivating yet? I AM!

Movie popcorn, soda = 3 burgers, 12 butter pats

Can you believe that?? It was on the Today show. Now I am not a popcorn fan but I know plenty of people who are! Unbelievable! It's like a heart attack waiting to happen! The proofs in the puddin'... bring your own healthy snacks in your purse!

If you read... go and see!

I forgot to blog about my Twlight late night experience. It was truly a fun time and my friend had games, a Twlight Room in her house, Vampire beverages, and snacks to stuff in our purses for the movie! We even got goodie bags filled with Twlight chocolates, vampire teeth, a LOVE journal, and many other fun things! I wasn't so crazy about the first Twilight movie but I am not gonna lie to you..... THIS MOVIE WAS AWESOME. If you have read New Moon, you must go see the movie, I am probably going back for round 2! BUT if you have not read the books, don't go see the movie. You'll probably think it's stupid! Oh and for those readers, Jacob is all over New Moon as you know.... and boy is he SEXY! He steals the movie by having his shirt off in almost every scene - yum!
