True Grit

Dave and I saw this movie on Saturday - I had no idea what it was about but heard that it was supposed to be good and with the Golden Globes on Sunday, I thought - better see it before then! After seeing Black Swan, this movie was a bit of a slower pace as it was a Western. If it had not been for the 14 year old girl in the movie, I probably would have not liked it. She made it for me. The women always bring the sensitivity factor to those rugged cowboys. Anyways, the movie is about a 14 year old girl from Arkansas that wants to find and kill the man who shot and killed her father. She knows who he is and hired a drunk general with the reputation of having "true grit" to do the job. This character is played by Brolin. Matt Damon is after the same man for another killing that took place in Texas, he runs into the two on his search and the three join up to find and kill the man who shot this girls father. It's a great story. Definitely see it.
