Registering on Amazon.com

How do you all feel about registering on Amazon for a few miscellaneous items (turvis tumblers, Tivo, etc)? Tacky Weird or Okay?

I am thinking that we may register at Pottery Barn (definitely - bedding and towels) and Crate and Barrel...
