I have been watching House of Cards which is a Netflix series and it is great! Kevin Spacey and Kate Mara are in it! Kevin plays a SC congressman. He and his wife both play the political game - she runs a clean water non-profit. Kate plays a reporter who has the "inside scoop" with the congressman - they also hook up. If you like scandal I think you'd like this.
